Downtown Challenge Generally Competition
The Downtown Cup is a compo that explores some of the diverse Street Race tracks that have been made for Generally.
From the classic-style Mondega and Estio, to the intricate realistic designs of Montslater and Ararauna, DCGC is a celebration of all things street-racing.
The season is divided into two different groups of tracks:
1) Realistic looking tracks (some based on real locations). These will be raced with the Chaparral 1 car.
2) More classic-style small world-size tracks. These will be raced with the Peugeot 207 car.

[RULES]
Basic Generally compo rules really, nothing new/original:
- All corner cutting allowed, it's your funeral if you miss a checkpoint :)
- This is a login compo (link on main G-ACME page) - login, download, race, zip up a screenshot (F11) + save of the race results with the .trk file. (Feeling nooby?)
- Login time limit: Race time + 5 minutes.
- Email files to g-acme["at"]live["dot"]com (that's anti-spam stuff there, use @ and . as normal).
- This is a race compo - start in last against the 5 AIs (e.g. select your car first, with the "points reversed" setting on).
- Other settings should be as below:
Exception to above distance: the last Singapore event is 20km (in two 10km sections); see below...
- The calendar of events is as follows. Times of login opening is probably going to be variable - I'll do it as soon as I can after closing the previous round. Rounds close at the end (i.e. at 23:59:59 GMT) of the days given.
- Rounds will alternate between Chaparral (white) and Peugeot (purple) events:
Singapore Event rules
- The event is split in half - one half in the Default palette, the other in the Night palette (by Maciej1). Each half of the event should have its own .gam/.trk/.bmp in the .zip emailed to me. The times will then be combined to give one time for the entire event.
- The position (relative to the AI) that you finish in the first day section should be your starting position in the night section.
- The event is 20km overall - two sections of 10km.
[THE CAR]
*This is all WIP at the moment, so I haven't asked anyone's permission yet - but it's most definitely on my todo list! Kinda stick TBC after everything on this page.
The DCGC has two cars that will each be used for 5 events: the 1957 Chaparral 1 car, by XYY, and the Peugeot 207 Gymkhana, by Marcinho.
